|
Your personal exercise programme will be designed according to your objectives, health and fitness assessment results, exercise/activity preferences and the time you are willing to commit.
|
| Components |
You may have specific sporting or fitness goals which will be incorporated into your programme.
In general there will be aerobic/cardiovascular, muscular strength/endurance and flexibility components. The idea is to provide improvements in your all round fitness as well as your daily life and well being.
|
| Training Approach |
Your trainer will concentrate on your exercise approach such as correct warm up and cool down as well as exercise techniques so as to optimise your safety and minimise your risk of injury.
You will not be asked to do anything that you are uncomfortable with but you will be encouraged to try different things and to push yourself beyond your perceived capabilities. There is no "beasting" or "boot camp" approach unless this is how you wish to be motivated. It is rather your trainer getting to know you and how to get the most out of you.
You will be asked for feedback to ensure that you are receiving what you want from your training sessions and your trainer. You are paying for a service so it is important that you are getting what you want from that service.
Personal training is a flexible service and can be modified to cater for different clients` needs, within reason.

| Monitoring |
|
To monitor your progress your trainer will repeat your health and fitness assessments every 8 weeks for comparison to previous assessments. You will also be asked for your subjective opinion, thoughts and feelings on how you think you are progressing. If you are achieving your goals your programme will be progressed to help you maintain or improve on your achievements. Alternatively, you may wish to set new goals so your programme will be altered to allow for this. If for some reason you are not achieving your goals then your programme will be modified and monitored as above.
